Top Fuel driver Antron Brown had to sit through to the final round of eliminations to become the first African-American driver to win a major driving championship Sunday November 11, 2012 at the 48th annual Auto Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway. Funny Car driver Jack Beckman also won his first season driving title over Ron Capps.
