ByFive years ago Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a suicide attack following a campaign rally on December 27, 2007 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Bhutto was killed as she left the event, while waving to the crowd through the sun roof of her armored car. Dozens of her supporters died in a blast set off by a suicide bomber during the attack. Benazir Bhutto’s son Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari spoke in Pakistan today as thousands gathered to mark the fifth anniversary of her murder.
