The 4th edition of RoboCup German Open 2013 is taking place from April 26-28 in Magdeburg, Germany. The three-day tournament is hosting 43 international teams and 158 German junior teams that compete in a variety of disciplines, including soccer, rescue and dance. The soccer playing robots, which are a model called Nao, manufactured by Aldebaran Robotics, perform autonomously and communicate with one another via WLAN.
Until recently, they were kept hidden from society and all but forbidden to celebrate.
